Laurent-Perrier's Grande Cuvée Rosé Alexandra was inspired by quality and innovation. In 1982, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir matured at exactly the same time in Champagne which is rare, offering the perfect opportunity to create a new vintage rosé. The House uses the same temperature-controlled maceration technique as their beloved Cuvée Rosé NV, but adds a small percentage of Chardonnay to the Pinot Noir for a unique cold-stabilized co-maceration. After the vinification process, the champagne will age for a minimum of 10 years on its lees adding extra creaminess and complexity. Alexandra Pereyre de Nonancourt describes the color as winter sunset in Champagne.
