This lot brings together Bottle No. 1 of each of the five wines in Académie’s inaugural release:

These five bottles represent the beginning of that story. Bottle No. 1 of each cuvée has been reserved expressly for this auction and will be presented together in special packaging accompanied by a letter signed by the founders.

La Grande Comète represents the most exacting expression of Chardonnay at Académie, produced in exceptionally limited quantities and selected to embody the domaine at its highest level. This lot brings together Bottles No. 3, 4, and 5—three consecutive bottles held back by the domaine specifically for the inaugural Zachys offering.

Three consecutive early-number bottles of La Grande Comète Pinot Noir from Académie’s inaugural vintage.
Produced in exceptionally limited quantities, La Grande Comète Pinot Noir sits at the summit of Académie’s Pinot Noir production. Bottles No. 3, 4, and 5 were reserved by the domaine from release and are offered here together for the first time.

This six-bottle collection comprises La Grande Comète Chardonnay and La Grande Comète Pinot Noir bearing matching bottle numbers 6, 7, and 8. Together, the two wines represent Académie’s most limited expressions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and the pinnacle of the domaine’s inaugural release.
The result is a collection that cannot be recreated through ordinary acquisition: three consecutive, matched-number pairs preserved together from the domaine’s first vintage.
